About George Avakian
I'm a dog trainer from Los Angeles who moved to Armenia in 2022 to train search and rescue dogs for emergencies like earthquakes, collapsed buildings or missing hikers. I train other people's dogs in obedience so that I can help fund the training of my own search dog, Tesla. Together with a team of other search and rescue dog handlers, we created SARDA to be able to train extremely skilled search dogs, coordinate with 911 Rescue Services and help Armenia in the time of need. To better serve clients who want to become better dog handlers, we created Dog Academy of Armenia, which is a handler-centric educational program designed to educate and prepare people to work as professionals in the dog industry or just have a better relationship with their dog.
More about
Dog Academy of Armenia
I've designed courses and exercises for almost every type of obedience training you could think of. From basic commands to specialized routines, I'll coach you through the fun process of training your dog!
The best way to socialize your dog to new environments and other dogs is to attend my group obedience classes!
I've dealt with reactive and aggressive dogs my whole life and it took years to learn how to train it. That's why I've dedicated a lot of my time to working with owners who have the same problem.
